Cosmopolitan is a worldwide fashion magazine for woman, the website is very similar in terms of the context that I want to portray in my app. What makes my app different from their website, is the fact it will all be in the palm of your hand, all on one platform.

I tested out cosmopolitans UK’s app in order to see what actual competition is out there, from what I found their app doesn’t actually provide any form of interactivity with its user, you just have the monthly published issue of their magazine in which you can download and read.

The Sun newspaper and well known British tabloid newspaper have recently adding a channel to the discover page on snapchat, allowing their news and gossip to be targeted at a young audience in a fun creative way. Their website also contains a lot of information allowing you to click onto the genre that you want, filtering it down to exactly you want to see, this allows the website to be targeted at a large range of people through this.

This is similar to how I want to create my app, by using menu tools to allow people to see what they want to see in a fun and entertaining way. I really like the idea of having a news feature incorporated in my app, as when creating stories that the demographic wants to hear about or should know about it generates talking about it.
